“Where’s
Eve? Didn’t she teleport with us?” wondered the dim yet lovable White
Mage Hume. The older Taru Taru couple that accompanied him shrugged
their little Taru shoulders in confusion. “Don’t you know where she
is Guy? She’s YOUR girlfriend after all”, questioned the high level Taru
Black Mage. Guy rubbed the snake markings on his cheeks, recalling
that out of a gentlemanly act, he let Eve talk to the Taru teleporter in
Windurst Walls first. Warlocke and his fiancé Mystique then
closely followed behind her, who just so happen to be the Taru couple he
is currently double dating with. Lastly, he himself was teleported
to Port Windurst, where everyone was accounted for, minus the love of his
life. “If we all went through the portal, and wound up here, but
Eve didn’t…”, pondered Guy as he grabbed his face in shock, “…. Then she
must have been teleported into the 5th dimension!” Guy gasped as his hands
were sliding down his face due to a burst of perspiration.
“Don’t be ridiculous!”,
the cute and sagely Mystique calmly explained. “No Taru has the power
to travel between dimensions, especially not that teleport flunky Komulili.”
“Yes”, said Warlocke agreeingly to his better half “It’s more likely
she was teleported into the sun!”, Warlocke said with assurance.
At this point, Guy could not muster a word as his eyes started bulging
out of his head due to the lack of oxygen reaching his lungs. His
knees buckled under the weight of his heavy soul, as he tearfully chewed
on his mage’s robe. “It…. It… it was supposed to be a shortcut!”,
bellowed Guy as he pictured his love angrily fly towards the sun, cursing
the day she met him. “A Shortcut!”
Warlocke
and Mystique exploded with laughter as they gestured Eve was standing right
behind the traumatized Guy the whole time. Just then Warlocke’s inviso
spell wore off, revealing a beautiful, giggling mithra waving her cute
tail in her hand. “Did you miss me sweety?”, the mithra Red Mage
said with a wink. Guy was overcome with happiness and utter humiliation
to see his Kitty standing only inches away from him. “I knew that!”,
exclaimed Guy as his snake symbols emitted a large reddish hue, “I was
just playing along is all!” The females stood laughing as Guy chased
the Taru prankster around on top of the Orastery roof of Port Windurst,
hoping to add him to his death list.
The small
group was excited to go on their first real double date, and with people
they had been already acquainted with from the linkshell. But as
they descended down the stairs of the Orastery, what would happen that
they should run into yet another familiar face! “Hey Ken I almost didn’t
recognize you without a pile of harab tails in your hand.” his best friend
Guy joked as he waved towards him.
“Yo, ‘sup ppl!”, voiced the Taru Black Mage apprentice as he gave Guy
the secret handshake. “I’m huntin’ wabbits!”, he replied jokingly
to Guy. Having been a stranger to all but his best bud, Guy promptly
introduced everybody, and explained to Ken that they were going on a double
date. This puzzled the young silver-hair Taru as not only did he
failed to see the significance of forming a group outside of leveling,
skill capping, or gil farming, but he never thought Guy would have gone
soft. Guy simply explained that he has found true love, and his thieving
days was behind him. He went on to say that there may be a special
someone waiting for Ken too.
Ken shook his
big Taru head in pity as he looked upwards to Guy, “I won’t be pwned by
some grrl” the ph3arfully L33t Taru proudly stated, “If NEthing, I’ll probably
have 2 or 3 mithra honeys with me!”
Eve, slightly offended replied with a little sarcasm “And just what
do you plan to do with three mithra ‘honeys’? ” The ultra cool Taru replied
as he was about to leave with 2k of Guy’s “starter money” in his hands
“It’s like this u c” he explained, "grrls are like EXP CHAINs, the more
you hook up, …… the better it gets!” The Taru female and mithra had an
insatiable urge to roll their eyes as their fiancé, and boyfriend
laughed heartily at Ken’s remarks. “C u l8tr ppl”, he said quickly as he
rushed off to the Auction House buy some new armor.
The first stop
on the date was Eve & Guy’s special place romantically located in the
heart of Windurst; the gargantuan living tree known by the natives as “Heaven’s
Tower.” The tree itself seemed to be happy with the lover’s presence
as the falling pollen glimmered and glowed around the group, with “theme
to Final Fantasy” solemnly playing in the background by a Elvaan bard.
The flower lamps seemingly grew brighter as the party passed each one on
the way down the long curving staircase.
The date consisted mostly of running around, telling jokes and
stories of love, taking pictures, and just enjoying each other’s company.
One memorable moment was when the high level White Mage Mystique and her
husband-to-be decided to give the young couple a Taru magic show.
The colors of the magic bounced off the flowers and leaves in the tree’s
downstairs’ garden. They radiated with countless shade of white, red, and
purple originating from the Protectra, Barpoisona, and Aquaveil spells.
The young Red and White mages decide to join in on the fun and made the
walls dance with an array of colors by casting cure, barstona, and the
crowd pleasing Benediction magic. Although impressed, the Taru lovers
were not to be outdone, as the powerful Barthundra, Protectra II, and Curaga
II joined together flooding the trees, and ponds of water, the walls, and
even the ceiling in a sea of mana.
The group felt as
if they were swimming as they witnessed their surroundings flowing with
all the colors of the rainbow. Mystique stood closely to Warlocke,
the power of their little Taru hands grasped together, gazing up at their
spells bursting in a million spectacular sparkling lights. Eve too,
could not deny her rapture as she held the hand of the only man she could
ever share this marvelous event with. Guy however, did not notice
any of this, for his eyes were always fixated on his true love. He
watched as the sparkles turned her eyes countless shades of the color spectrum,
and the mana discharge falling unto her beautiful red hair, like glitter.
That’s when he realized that love must be the greatest magic spell of them
all.
